Yes they sure were, Peggy. I think of them constantly. Those teachers refused to be victims even in the face of certain death. They knew they had a choice and they used it to protect and defend the defenseless, offering what comfort and assurance they could. Their conduct is testament to their character and to the forces for good in the world. God bless them.
