If You Think Pink Elephant…

Once I get something in my head, it turns up everywhere.  A color, for example.  The day after my launch of Cobalt Blue in L.A.  I was walking on the beach with my friend Randee Russell Bieler and three cobalt blue coconuts washed up in the shallow foamy edge of the surf.

Now probably cobalt blue coconuts wash up on the Santa Monica beach every day and I'm simply not sensitized to notice them.

The next day Randee went for another beach walk and shot many more blue pictures including the blue circles which have a nice Stairway to Heaven look to them, or they're reminiscent of humans evolving out of the water and becoming land animals.

Anyway, if we're thinking about pink elephants, we're much more likely to notice them when they appear.  So I'm going to make a point of choosing  what image/color/idea I get hung up on next.

LOVE this!  Excuse my ignorance, but  is there a type of blue coconut or were these painted? Three!

Painted, Mamie and Kenju. Unless there’s a special tropical island somewhere that is full of surprises. Isle of the Blue Coconuts: my next short short.

I have never heard of blue coconuts. Did someone paint them?

This makes a nice picture, Bob. Very William Carlos Williams.

That's what they say about our brains – they'll do anything to make sure we're right :). Another important reminder to think positively! Or at least monitor what we dwell on.

Funny! And you’re probably onto something with that being right business.

Thanks, Beth. Borrowed hat. It belongs to my friend Randee who also shot the picture.

I've heard of blue nuts, Peggy, but never blue coconuts.
